[161] Now at that time the group-of-six bhikkhus sat clasping their knees bound round with the outer robe (saṅghāṭi). The panels (pattā) of the outer robe came apart. They reported this matter to the Blessed One. … "Bhikkhus, one should not sit clasping the knees bound round with the outer robe. Whoever should so sit commits an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa)."
