[277] Then it occurred to the bhikkhus: "By whom should lodgings (senāsana) be assigned?" They reported this matter to the Blessed One. … "Bhikkhus, I allow you to appoint a bhikkhu possessed of five qualities as assigner of lodgings (senāsanagāhāpaka): one who would not go a wrong course out of desire, would not go a wrong course out of hatred (dosa), would not go a wrong course out of delusion (moha), would not go a wrong course out of fear, and who would know what has been assigned and what has not been assigned."
