Vinayapiṭaka · Cūḷavagga (2) · Vol. 7 · Section 290

[290] Now at that time Visākhā, Migāra's mother, wished to have built for the benefit of the Saṅgha a mansion (pāsāda) with a verandah (sālinda), of the "elephant-boss" type (hatthinakhaka). Then it occurred to the bhikkhus: "What now—has the use of a mansion been allowed by the Blessed One, or has it not been allowed?" They reported this matter to the Blessed One. "Bhikkhus, I allow every use of a mansion."
