[299] Now at that time bhikkhus, having taken charge of building work (navakamma), excluded others from what belonged to the Saṅgha (saṅghika). They reported this matter to the Blessed One. "Bhikkhus, one who has taken charge of building work should not exclude others from what belongs to the Saṅgha; whoever should so exclude commits an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa). I allow, bhikkhus, the taking of one choice sleeping place (varaseyyā)."
