[379] "Do not, O elephant, attack the Nāga (nāga), for painful, O elephant, is attacking the Nāga. For one who slays a Nāga, O elephant, there is no good destination hereafter. Be not intoxicated and be not heedless (pamāda), for the heedless do not go to a good destination (sugati). You yourself must so act that you will go to a good destination."
