Daraṅasaṅaanupubbikathā

[408] One who causes schism in the Saṅgha (saṅghabhedaka) is bound for the plane of misery (apāya), bound for hell (niraya), abiding there for an aeon (kappa). Delighting in faction, not established in the Dhamma, he falls away from security from bondage (yogakkhema). Having split a united Saṅgha, he is tormented in hell for an aeon.
