[630] Now at that time, when the Blessed One had attained final Nibbāna a hundred years before, the Vajjiputtaka bhikkhus of Vesālī were proclaiming ten points (vatthūni) in Vesālī: the horn-salt practice (siṅgiloṇakappa) is allowable; the two-fingerbreadth practice (dvaṅgulakappa) is allowable; the practice of going to another village (gāmantarakappa) is allowable; the practice concerning residences (āvāsakappa) is allowable; the practice of consent (anumatikappa) is allowable; the practice of what is customary (āciṇṇakappa) is allowable; the practice concerning unchurned milk (amathitakappa) is allowable; to drink unfermented toddy (jaḷogi) is allowable; a sitting cloth (nisīdana) without a fringe is allowable; gold and silver are allowable.
