[636] So it seems that I, who speak thus, abuse and revile the venerable lay followers (upāsakā) who have faith and confidence, and cause loss of confidence — I who say of what is not Dhamma, "This is not Dhamma"; of what is Dhamma, "This is Dhamma"; of what is not Vinaya, "This is not Vinaya"; of what is Vinaya, "This is Vinaya."
