[91] Now at that time bhikkhus laid their robes on the ground in the bathhouse (jantāghara). The robes became soiled with dust. They reported this matter to the Blessed One. … "Bhikkhus, I allow in the bathhouse a bamboo robe-rod (cīvaravaṃsa) and a robe-cord (cīvararajju)." When it rained, the robes got rained upon. … "Bhikkhus, I allow a bathhouse hall (jantāgharasālā)." The bathhouse hall had a low foundation; it was flooded with water. … "Bhikkhus, I allow it to be made with a high foundation." The piled-up earth collapsed. … "Bhikkhus, I allow a facing to be built." … Climbing up, they were troubled. … Climbing up, they fell. … "Bhikkhus, I allow a railing (ālambanabāha)."
