[1004] Eleven persons who have not received full ordination should not be given full ordination; if they have received full ordination, they should be expelled. Eleven kinds of footwear are not allowable. Eleven kinds of bowls are not allowable. Eleven kinds of robes are not allowable. Eleven [offenses] are yāvatatiyaka (requiring admonition up to the third time). The eleven obstructive things (antarāyikā dhammā) should be asked of bhikkhunīs. Eleven robes should be determined (adhiṭṭhātabbāni). Eleven robes should not be assigned (vikappetabbāni). At the eleventh arising of dawn there is [an offense entailing] forfeiture (nissaggiya). Eleven kinds of buttons (gaṇṭhikā) are allowable. Eleven kinds of loops (vīthā) are allowable. Eleven kinds of earth are not allowable. Eleven kinds of earth are allowable. There are eleven lapsings of dependence (nissaya-paṭippassaddhi). There are eleven persons not to be paid homage. There are eleven [rules stated with] "at most" (paramāni). Eleven boons were requested. There are eleven faults of a boundary (sīmā). For a person who abuses and reviles, eleven dangers are to be expected.
When the liberation of mind (cetovimutti) by loving-kindness has been pursued, developed, made much of, made a vehicle, made a basis, carried out, consolidated, and well undertaken, eleven benefits are to be expected: one sleeps happily; one wakes happily; one sees no bad dreams; one is dear to human beings; one is dear to non-human beings; deities protect one; neither fire nor poison nor weapon affects one; the mind (citta) becomes concentrated quickly; the complexion of the face becomes serene; one dies unconfused; and if one penetrates no higher, one goes to the Brahmā world. When the liberation of mind by loving-kindness has been pursued, developed, made much of, made a vehicle, made a basis, carried out, consolidated, and well undertaken, these eleven benefits are to be expected.
