[1070] "Of what sort is one who is shameless (alajjī)? He whose acknowledgment (paṭiññā) does not stand — this too I ask of you: of what sort is he who is called a shameless person (alajjipuggala)?" "He deliberately commits an offence (āpatti), he conceals an offence, and he follows a wrong course (agati) — such a one is called a shameless person."
