"True it is; I too know
that such a one is a shameless person (alajjī);
but I ask you about another matter:
what kind of one is called a conscientious person (lajjī)?
He does not intentionally fall into an offense (āpatti),
he does not conceal an offense,
he does not follow a wrong course (agati) —
such a one is called a conscientious person."
