[1111] How does one inspire confidence in a matter deserving of confidence? Pointing out what is not-Dhamma as "not-Dhamma," one inspires confidence in a matter deserving of confidence; pointing out Dhamma as "Dhamma," one inspires confidence in a matter deserving of confidence … pointing out a grave offence (duṭṭhullā āpatti) as "a grave offence," one inspires confidence in a matter deserving of confidence; pointing out an offence that is not grave as "an offence that is not grave," one inspires confidence in a matter deserving of confidence. Thus one inspires confidence in a matter deserving of confidence.
