[1115] "What has not come up should not be spoken of" (asampattaṃ na byāharitabbaṃ) means: speech that has not entered [into the matter at hand] should not be introduced. "What has come up should not be allowed to fall away from the Dhamma, from the Vinaya" (sampattaṃ dhammato vinayato na parihāpetabbaṃ) means: the matter for the sake of which the Saṅgha has assembled — that matter should not be allowed to fall away from the Dhamma, from the Vinaya.
