[1145] The kaṭhina should be understood; the spreading of the kaṭhina (kaṭhinatthāra) should be understood; the month for the spreading of the kaṭhina should be understood; the failure of the spreading of the kaṭhina should be understood; the success of the spreading of the kaṭhina should be understood; the making of a sign (nimittakamma) should be understood; roundabout talk (parikathā) should be understood; the makeshift [cloth] (kukkukata) should be understood; storing (sannidhi) should be understood; that which entails forfeiture (nissaggiya) should be understood.
