Kaṭhinatthāravagga

Vinayapiṭaka · Parivāra · Vol. 8 · Section 1295

[1295] How many Sekhiya rules were declared by the Buddha, the Kinsman of the Sun (ādiccabandhu)? Let us hear from you the domains of one who professes the Vinaya. Seventy-five Sekhiya rules were declared by the Buddha, the Kinsman of the Sun. Hear from me the domains of one who professes the Vinaya. As well as it was asked by you, so well has it been answered by me; and in the questioning and in the answering there is nothing without a supporting text (asuttaka). The Second Compendium of Verses (Dutiyagāthāsaṅgaṇika) is finished. ___________________ The Sweat-Freeing Verses (Sedamocanagāthā)
