[1344] How do formal acts (kamma) fail with respect to the boundary (sīmā)?
Formal acts fail with respect to the boundary in eleven ways: one authorizes (sammannati) a boundary that is too small; one authorizes a boundary that is too large; one authorizes a boundary with a broken marker (nimitta); one authorizes a boundary with a shadow as a marker; one authorizes a boundary without a marker; one authorizes a boundary while standing outside the boundary; one authorizes a boundary in a river; one authorizes a boundary in the ocean; one authorizes a boundary in a natural lake; one overlaps a boundary with a boundary; one overlays a boundary upon a boundary.
In these eleven ways formal acts fail with respect to the boundary.
