[1343] How do formal acts (kamma) fail on account of the proclamation (anussāvana)?
Formal acts fail on account of the proclamation in five ways: one does not mention the matter (vatthu); one does not mention the Saṅgha; one does not mention the person; one omits the proclamation (sāvana); or one proclaims at the wrong time. In these five ways formal acts fail on account of the proclamation.
