[1365] Summary verses (uddāna): Formal announcement (apalokana), the motion (ñatti), [the act] with the motion as second, and with [the motion] as fourth; the matter (vatthu), the motion, the proclamation (anussāvana), the boundary (sīmā) and the assembly; presence, interrogation, admission, and one deserving a verdict [of vinaya]; the matter, the Saṅgha, and the person, the motion, and placing the motion afterwards; the matter, the Saṅgha, and the person, the proclamation, and [proclamation] out of time; too small, too large, with broken markers, with a shadow as marker, and without markers; [standing] outside, in a river, in the ocean, and in a natural lake; one cuts into [a boundary], one covers a boundary over [with a boundary]; [acts] to be done by a group of four and a group of five, by a group of ten and a group of twenty; [consent] not conveyed and conveyed; persons entitled to the act, those entitled to [give] consent, and persons liable to the act; formal announcement in five cases, and the motion in nine cases; [the act] with the motion as second in seven cases, [the act] with [the motion] as fourth in seven cases; the excellence ("it is well") [of the Saṅgha], comfort, the shameless, the well-behaved, and the taints (āsava); enmity, fault, and fear, the unwholesome, and householders; those of evil wishes, those without confidence, those with confidence, and the establishment of the [true] Dhamma; the support of the Vinaya, and the recitation of the Pātimokkha; the suspension of the Pātimokkha, and the suspension of the Pavāraṇā; censure (tajjanīya) and demotion (niyassa), banishment (pabbājanīya) and reconciliation (paṭisāraṇīya); suspension (ukkhepanīya) and probation (parivāsa), [sending back to] the beginning (mūla), penance (mānatta), rehabilitation (abbhāna); restoration (osāraṇa), removal (nissāraṇa), and likewise full admission (upasampadā); formal announcement and the motion, [the act] with [the motion] as second and as fourth; what is laid down where not [previously] laid down, the supplementary rule (anupaññatti); verdict in the presence (sammukhāvinaya), verdict of mindfulness (sativinaya), verdict of past insanity (amūḷhavinaya), acting upon admission (paṭiññātakaraṇa), decision by majority (yebhuyyasikā), [the verdict of] aggravated misconduct (tassapāpiyasikā), and covering over as with grass (tiṇavatthāraka); the matter, failure (vipatti), offense (āpatti), the source (nidāna), and by way of the person; the classes [of offenses] and the originations (samuṭṭhāna), and the legal issue (adhikaraṇa); the settlements (samatha) and the inclusions (saṅgaha), the names, and the offenses — thus.
