[266] A bhikkhu requesting a robe (cīvara) from a householder or a householder's wife who is not a relation falls into two offenses (āpatti): in the act of requesting, an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa); when it has been requested, an offense entailing expiation with forfeiture (nissaggiya pācittiya).
