[327] A bhikkhu eating hard food (khādanīya) or soft food (bhojanīya) at the wrong time (vikāla) commits two offences (āpatti) [1]: he receives it thinking, "I shall eat" — an offence of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa); for every mouthful swallowed — an offence of expiation (pācittiya).
