[332] A bhikkhu who, [saying] to a bhikkhu, "Come, friend, we shall enter a village or a town for alms," then—whether having had [something] given to him or not having had it given—dismisses him, commits two offenses (āpatti): in dismissing him, at the moment of the effort (payoga), there is an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa); when he has been dismissed, an offense entailing expiation (pācittiya).
