[370] While a discussion for decision is in progress in the Saṅgha, a bhikkhu who, without having given his consent (chanda), rises from his seat and departs incurs two offenses (āpatti): while he has not yet left arm's-reach (hatthapāsa) of the assembly, an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa); when it has been left, an offense entailing expiation (pācittiya).
