[722] One who sets out on a journey (cārikā) without relinquishing her dwelling (āvasatha) commits two offenses (āpatti): as she crosses the enclosure with the first foot, there is an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa); as she crosses with the second foot, there is an offense entailing expiation (pācittiya).
