[943] There is an offence (āpatti) that is released through perception (saññāvimokkhā); there is an offence that is not released through perception. There is an offence for one who has gained attainment (samāpatti); there is an offence for one who has not gained attainment. There is an offence connected with the true Dhamma (saddhamma); there is an offence connected with what is not the true Dhamma. There is an offence connected with one's own requisites; there is an offence connected with another's requisites. There is an offence connected with one's own person; there is an offence connected with another person. There is a case where one speaking the truth commits a grave offence; there is a case where one speaking falsehood commits a light offence.
