[10] Or as some honorable ascetics and brahmins, while enjoying food given in faith, live engaged in the use of goods stored up in this way — that is: a store of food, a store of drink, a store of cloth, a store of vehicles, a store of bedding, a store of unguents, a store of fragrances, a store of material things — the ascetic Gotama refrains from the use of stored-up goods of this kind. Thus indeed, bhikkhus, might an ordinary person (puthujjana), speaking praise of the Tathāgata, speak.
