[240] Now at that time the Venerable Nāgita was the attendant of the Blessed One. Then those brahmin emissaries from Kosala and those brahmin emissaries from Magadha approached the Venerable Nāgita; having approached, they said this to the Venerable Nāgita: "Where, worthy Nāgita, is that worthy Gotama now staying? For we wish to see that worthy Gotama."
"It is not the time, friends, to see the Blessed One; the Blessed One is in seclusion (paṭisallīna)."
Then those brahmin emissaries from Kosala and those brahmin emissaries from Magadha sat down right there to one side, thinking, "Only when we have seen that worthy Gotama shall we go."
