[284] "Furthermore, Poṭṭhapāda, a bhikkhu, by completely transcending the base of the infinity of space (ākāsānañcāyatana), aware that 'consciousness is infinite,' enters and dwells in the base of the infinity of consciousness (viññāṇañcāyatana). His former subtle and true perception of the base of the infinity of space ceases; at that time there is a subtle and true perception of the base of the infinity of consciousness; at that time he is percipient only of the subtle and true perception of the base of the infinity of consciousness. Thus too, through training (sikkhā), one perception arises, and through training another perception ceases. And this too is that training," said the Blessed One.
