"Venerable sir, does the Blessed One declare only one peak of perception, or does he declare many peaks of perception?"
"Poṭṭhapāda, I declare the peak of perception as one, and I also declare peaks of perception as many."
"But how, venerable sir, does the Blessed One declare the peak of perception as one and also declare peaks of perception as many?"
"Poṭṭhapāda, in whatever way one touches cessation (nirodha), in just that way I declare the peak of perception. Thus, Poṭṭhapāda, I declare the peak of perception as one, and I also declare peaks of perception as many."
