[385] When this was said, the brahmin students Vāseṭṭha and Bhāradvāja said to the Blessed One: "Magnificent, worthy Gotama! Magnificent, worthy Gotama! Just as if, worthy Gotama, one were to set upright what had been overturned, or uncover what had been concealed, or point out the path to one who was lost, or hold up an oil lamp in the darkness so that those with eyes might see forms — even so has the Dhamma been made clear in many ways by the worthy Gotama. We here go to the worthy Gotama for refuge (saraṇa), and to the Dhamma, and to the Saṅgha of bhikkhus. May the worthy Gotama remember us as lay followers (upāsakā) who have gone to him for refuge for life, from this day forward."
The Tevijja Sutta, the Thirteenth, is finished.
