[108] "Goods being carried" (haraṇaka) means goods being carried by another.
Should a bhikkhu with thieving intent touch [them], he commits an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa). Should he make them shift, he commits an offense of grave transgression (thullaccaya). Should he move them from their place, he commits an offense entailing defeat (pārājika).
Should he, thinking "I shall lead away the goods-carrier together with the goods," cause him to move the first foot, he commits an offense of grave transgression. Should he cause him to move the second foot, he commits an offense entailing defeat.
Should he, thinking "I shall pick up the goods when they have fallen," cause the goods to fall, he commits an offense of wrong-doing. Should he with thieving intent touch the fallen goods, worth five māsakas or more than five māsakas, he commits an offense of wrong-doing. Should he make them shift, he commits an offense of grave transgression. Should he move them from their place, he commits an offense entailing defeat.
