[167] Now at that time a certain bhikkhu, having taken wood belonging to the Saṅgha on a temporary basis (tāvakālika), propped up the wall of his own dwelling. The bhikkhus accused that bhikkhu, saying: "You are not an ascetic." He was remorseful. He reported this matter to the Blessed One. "What was your intention, bhikkhu?" "I took it on a temporary basis, Blessed One." "There is no offense (āpatti), bhikkhu, for one who takes on a temporary basis."
