[207] Now at that time a certain bhikkhu, while preparing a seat in a dining hall within a village, took hold of one pestle from among pestles that had been propped upright. A second pestle toppled over and fell upon the head of a certain boy. He died. That bhikkhu was seized with remorse (kukkucca). … "What was your intention, bhikkhu?" "I did not intend it, Blessed One." "There is no offense (āpatti), bhikkhu, for one who does not intend."
