[540] At that time the Buddha, the Blessed One, was dwelling at Rājagaha, in the Veḷuvana, at the Kalandakanivāpa (the Squirrels' Feeding Ground). Now at that time the Venerable Dabba Mallaputta had realized arahantship (arahatta) at seven years from birth. Whatever is to be attained by a disciple (sāvaka), all that had been attained by him; and there was nothing further for him to do, nor any adding to what had been done.
