[549] "Then at a later time" means: when that moment, that instant, that second in which he was charged (anuddhaṃsito) has passed. "Whether he is being questioned" means: whether he is being questioned concerning the matter in respect of which he was charged. "Or is not being questioned" means: not being addressed by anyone.
