Vinayapiṭaka · Bhikkhu Vibhaṅga (1) · Vol. 1 · Section 55

[55] Now at that time a certain brahmin youth (māṇavaka) was infatuated with the bhikkhunī Uppalavaṇṇā. Then, while the bhikkhunī Uppalavaṇṇā had entered the village for alms, that youth entered her hut and remained hidden there. After her meal, having returned from her alms round, the bhikkhunī Uppalavaṇṇā washed her feet, entered the hut, and sat down on the couch. Then that youth seized the bhikkhunī Uppalavaṇṇā and violated her. The bhikkhunī Uppalavaṇṇā told this matter to the bhikkhunīs. The bhikkhunīs told this matter to the bhikkhus. The bhikkhus told this matter to the Blessed One. "Bhikkhus, there is no offence for one who does not consent."
