[562] A person is pure, not having committed any offense entailing expulsion (pārājika). If (a bhikkhu), regarding him as impure, without first getting him to grant leave (okāsa), speaks to him desiring to make him fall away (from the monastic life), there is an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa). A person is pure, not having committed any offense entailing expulsion. If (a bhikkhu), regarding him as impure, having first got him to grant leave, speaks to him desiring to make him fall away, there is no offense. A person is pure, not having committed any offense entailing expulsion. If (a bhikkhu), regarding him as impure, without first getting him to grant leave, speaks to him desiring to abuse him, there is an offense of wrong-doing together with (the offense of) insulting speech (omasavāda). A person is pure, not having committed any offense entailing expulsion. If (a bhikkhu), regarding him as impure, having first got him to grant leave, speaks to him desiring to abuse him, there is an offense of insulting speech.
