[589] A bhikkhu is seen committing a saṅghādisesa; concerning the saṅghādisesa he holds the view that it is a saṅghādisesa. If he has him charged with a pārājika, saying, "You are not an ascetic … or (any) act of the Saṅgha (saṅghakamma)" — thus too the offense belongs to a different class (aññabhāgiya), and a pretext (lesa) has been taken hold of: there is an offense of saṅghādisesa for each utterance.
