[181] Householder's son, there are these six drawbacks in frequenting festivals (samajjābhicaraṇa): 'Where is dancing? Where is singing? Where is instrumental music? Where is story-recitation (akkhāna)? Where is hand-clapping music (pāṇissara)? Where are the kettledrums (kumbhathūna)?' These, householder's son, are the six drawbacks in frequenting festivals.
