[437] What seven things partake of decline? Seven bad qualities (asaddhammā): here, friends, a bhikkhu is without faith (assaddho), without moral shame (ahiriko), without moral dread (anottappī), of little learning (appassuto), lazy (kusīto), of muddled mindfulness (muṭṭhassati), and of weak wisdom (duppañño). These seven things partake of decline.
