[459] What nine dhammas conduce to decline? Nine grounds of resentment (āghātavatthu): One harbors resentment, thinking: 'He has done harm to me.' One harbors resentment, thinking: 'He is doing harm to me.' One harbors resentment, thinking: 'He will do harm to me.' One harbors resentment, thinking: 'He has done harm to one who is dear and pleasing to me.' One harbors resentment, thinking: 'He is doing harm to one who is dear and pleasing to me.'
