[462] What nine dhammas (dhammā) should be produced? Nine perceptions (saññā): the perception of foulness (asubhasaññā), the perception of death (maraṇasaññā), the perception of repulsiveness in food (āhāre paṭikūlasaññā), the perception of non-delight in the entire world (sabbaloke anabhiratasaññā), the perception of impermanence (aniccasaññā), the perception of suffering (dukkha) in what is impermanent, the perception of non-self in what is suffering, the perception of abandoning (pahānasaññā), the perception of fading away (virāgasaññā). These nine dhammas should be produced.
