[362] When the venerable Anuruddha was seated to one side, the Blessed One said this to him: "I hope, Anuruddhas, that you are bearing up; I hope you are keeping going; I hope you are not troubled for almsfood."
"We are bearing up, Blessed One; we are keeping going, Blessed One; and, venerable sir, we are not troubled for almsfood."
"But I hope, Anuruddhas, that you are living in concord, mutually appreciative, without disputing, blending like milk and water, viewing one another with kindly eyes?"
"Assuredly, venerable sir, we are living in concord, mutually appreciative, without disputing, blending like milk and water, viewing one another with kindly eyes."
"But in what way, Anuruddhas, do you live in concord, mutually appreciative, without disputing, blending like milk and water, viewing one another with kindly eyes?"
