[374] When this was said, the Venerable Sāriputta said to the Venerable Mahāmoggallāna: "Friend Moggallāna, the Venerable Mahākassapa has answered according to his own inspiration. Now on that point we ask the Venerable Mahāmoggallāna: Friend Moggallāna, delightful is the Gosiṅga sāla-tree wood, the night is bright with moonlight, the sāla trees are all in full blossom, and heavenly scents, one would think, are wafting about. Friend Moggallāna, by what kind of bhikkhu would the Gosiṅga sāla-tree wood be graced?"
"Here, friend Sāriputta, two bhikkhus engage in talk on the higher Dhamma (abhidhammakathā). They question each other, and being questioned by each other they answer and do not founder, and their talk on the Dhamma flows onward. Friend Sāriputta, by such a bhikkhu would the Gosiṅga sāla-tree wood be graced."
