[204] There Venerable Sāriputta, with reference to the bhikkhu (bhikkhu) named Golissāni, addressed the bhikkhus: "Friends, a forest-dwelling bhikkhu who has come to the Saṅgha and is dwelling in the Saṅgha should be respectful and deferential toward his companions in the holy life (sabrahmacārī). If, friends, a forest-dwelling bhikkhu who has come to the Saṅgha and is dwelling in the Saṅgha is disrespectful and undeferential toward his companions in the holy life, there will be those who say of him: 'What is the point of this venerable forest-dweller's dwelling alone in the forest at his own free will, when this venerable one is disrespectful and undeferential toward his companions in the holy life?' There will be those who say this of him. Therefore, a forest-dwelling bhikkhu who has come to the Saṅgha and is dwelling in the Saṅgha should be respectful and deferential toward his companions in the holy life."
