[262] "You, Vaccha, in so far as you shall wish: 'With the divine ear element (dibbā sotadhātu), purified and surpassing the human, may I hear both kinds of sounds — namely, the divine and the human — whether far or near,' — in each and every case you will attain the capability of realizing it, whenever there is a basis (sati sati āyatane)."
