[144] And how, bhikkhus, is a true person (sappurisa) endowed with good qualities (saddhamma)? Here, bhikkhus, a true person has faith, has shame (hiri), has moral dread (ottappa), is learned, has aroused energy, has established mindfulness, and is wise. Thus indeed, bhikkhus, a true person is endowed with good qualities.
