[271] And what, bhikkhus, is right action? Right action, bhikkhus, I say, is twofold: there is, bhikkhus, right action that is accompanied by taints (āsava), partaking of merit, ripening in acquisition (upadhi); and there is, bhikkhus, right action that is noble, taintless, supramundane, a factor of the path (magga).
