Suttapiṭaka · Majjhimanikāya · Vol. 14 · Section 272

[272] "And what, bhikkhus, is right action (sammākammanta) that is accompanied by taints (sāsava), partaking of merit, ripening in acquisitions (upadhivepakka)? There is, bhikkhus, abstinence (veramaṇī) from killing living beings, abstinence from taking what is not given, abstinence from misconduct in sensual pleasures. This, bhikkhus, is right action that is accompanied by taints, partaking of merit, ripening in acquisitions."
