[372] "Venerable sir, I have heard this in the presence of the Blessed One, received it in his presence: 'Whereas, Ānanda, other women give birth sitting or lying down, the mother of the Bodhisatta (bodhisatta) does not give birth to the Bodhisatta in that way; only while standing does the Bodhisatta's mother give birth to the Bodhisatta.' This too, venerable sir, … This too, venerable sir, I remember as a wonderful and marvellous quality (acchariya-abbhūtadhamma) of the Blessed One."
